An Evening with Dinish D'Souza
Linda & enjoyed a great evening with our good friends, Hal & Angela Ballard as we listened to Dinesh D'Souza speak at http://www.ses.edu/.
Thank you also to Scott & Jana for your kindness and efforts in making that event successful!
We all found Dinesh a witty and powerful speaker with the uncanny ability to present world issues in an amazingly understandable light. His grasp on history, current events, and the Scriptures allowed him to provide an hour long presentation with no notes whatsoever at the podium.
Afterwards, he graciously answered some insightful and provacative questions with profound wisdom and wit! He even signed my copy of his book early since we had to leave shortly after the event.
Our Latest Visitor!
Being in a small church (less than 50 believers)
its always a treat when God draws a new family or visitor to have fellowship with us.

Recently we enjoyed Nadia's visit. An attractive young mother in her mid-twenties. She came in cautiously and sat near the rear of our auditorium. The folks of our church, a friendly bunch indeed, made her feel welcome without being overwhelming.
After the service I made my way through the "crowd" and found Nadia inspecting our free literature table. We introduced ourselves, made polite conversation, then I inquired as to how she came to visit with us?
She explained she was looking for a smaller church, the larger ones she had visited seemed to be more of a Christian concert.
She didn't feel like she could readily connect with anyone on a personal basis, and she really went for Bible teaching not the music.
This prompted me to probe a little deeper. So I inquired what she personally was looking for in a "church?"
My heart was blessed and encouraged!
While we could not compete with the larger congregations in our community as far as programs, choirs, and concerts...we definately could introduce Nadia and others like her to the True & Living God!

Seeking God?
It was late in the fall of 1969,
a gangly teenager awoke from a passionate stupor long enough to sense the promptings that there is something undisclosed occurring. Seeking God? or the awareness thereof, I realized that if there had ever been a time when there was absolutely...
...(nothing!) How could there possibly be anything, myself included "today"? Could "Nothing" produce something? [Please See Following Link]: The Missing Link!
